Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  Event Support

Conduct pre-event tests (Check and verify equipment). Monitor audio and video qualities throughout event. Provides support for Banquet function

Review riders to ensure we can deliver and determine costs to comply.

Setup/Tear down for onsite and offsite activities.

Manage sub-contractors and other third party resources.

  Ongoing Operations

Maintain RF/IP network throughout property.

Maintain LCD, DLP, LED displays throughout entire property.

Deliver audio throughout entire property in a flexible and dynamic manner.

Knowledge of Crestron or similar AV control systems.

Knowledge of Control Play or similar audio background music

Maintain audio backbone

  Special Projects

Manage and maintain AV equipment and systems inventory. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AV equipment and systems. Create, modify and deploy Control System programming source code for room installations. Create system design, procurement lists, and price structures for Client budget planning. Review engineering drawings of projects and proposals. Responsible for the survey, design, installation and testing of hardware and software system elements. Responsible for research and development of emerging technologies and applications in the AV industry.

  Department Operations

Budget planning for AV department.

Work with Director to establish long term strategy for AV department.

Maintain the financial contracts and hardware of the system.

Directly responsible for managing all scheduling for AV support for all Rivers events and activities.

Partners in negotiation of contracts with IT Director and other leaders as it relates to service and equipment providers.

Support Marketing to determine the most cost effective way to disseminate information throughout the Casino.

Develop and execute training plans and checklists for direct reports designed to increase their capabilities through career planning, technical training and increased responsibility and accountability.

Manage the monitoring and performance of all property based AV Systems, executing appropriate escalation and corrective actions for all hardware, software and service problems in accordance with pre-defined service agreements.

Develop and administer all security procedures and operational controls for the physical environment / logical environment of Rivers Casino in accordance with industry standards, Internal Audit, and regulatory controls.

Develop, document, and communicate property support metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Participate in the formulation of AV-IT plans, technical strategies and budget plans as they relate to the property.

All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

 

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years IT/AV leadership experience

• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays

• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

• Maintain a high level of professional integrity and discretion

• Ability to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor

• Ability to work in a noisy and smoke filled environment

• Regularly required to sit, see, talk, hear, and use hands

• Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
