Job Description

 

The Project management role is a key member of our IT Team at Baker Distributing. We are looking for a project manager to handle and address ongoing IT projects. The successful candidate will work closely with IT team members and representatives from other departments to ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and meet the expectations of the business. The goal of this position is to apply processes and techniques to initiate, plans, manage and deliver specific projects to achieve their goals on schedule and on budget.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities

  Coordinate with cross-department team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Schedule meetings with project team members to identify and resolve issues. Submit project deliverables and ensure they adhere to quality standards. Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution. Facilitate change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget. Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to ensure successful project implementations. Identify and develop new opportunities with project team members. Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables from identified parties. Managing customer satisfaction within the project period. Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment. Must have superior analytical and decision-making skills with quick response time Excellent people skills - a positive attitude and an outgoing personality is essential. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external partners at all levels. Must be very detailed oriented and a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple changing priorities simultaneously in sometimes challenging situations and keeping management involved as needed.

Required Education and Experience

  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Experience in project management. Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion. Understanding of project management methodologies. Able to complete projects in a timely manner. Experience overseeing IT projects.
